Indiana Resources
The Indiana Quit Now program is a free phone-based counseling service that helps Indiana smokers quit. Services include one-on-one coaching for those who have decided to quit using tobacco, resources for healthcare providers, best practices for implementing smoke-free policies in the workplace, support for family and friends of smokers and those who are quitting, and tools for public health professionals who work in the area tobacco cessation. The toll-free hotline is available to all Indiana residents 7 days a week and in more than 170 languages. The trained quit coaches will work with smokers to develop a personalized quitting plan and provide support.
The Indiana Youth Services Association is comprised of the Youth Service Bureaus that operate throughout the state of Indiana and works to support community prevention services and programs. The association uses education and advocacy to prevent juvenile delinquency and its numerous consequences.
The Indiana Prevention Resource Center assists in development and evaluation of prevention programs throughout the state but also provides great information for laypersons on their website. The site provides electronic resources on drug use, bullying, gambling, and other health and wellness issues among children and teens.
National Resources
The Suicide Prevention Resource Center promotes a public health approach to suicide prevention. The site includes research, facts and figures, materials and information on best practices in suicide prevention.
The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth.
SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities.
NIDA offers the latest science-based information about the health effects and consequences of drug abuse and addiction and resources for talking with kids about the impact of drug use on health.

STRYVE is a national initiative, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which takes a public health approach to preventing youth violence before it starts.
